I’m Officially Retired from London Drugs… Now What?
My time with London Drugs has come to an end…
After 26 years with London Drugs, starting as a Sales Supervisor in the stores and ending as a Merchandise Manager in General Merchandise, I am leaving London Drugs. My last official day in the office was June 17 and my last day with the company is July 8.
The last 17 years in Head Office have been awesome. I have been responsible for buying many categories over the years. I have overseen Vitamins, Diet and Nutrition, Baby, Paper and Fem Hy, Books and Magazines, Grocery, Stationery, Toys, Pet and Small Appliances! What a ride!
I am now going to venture out on my own with much fear and trepidation, but also with much excitement! I have numerous projects in the hopper and now is the time to get them going and see what I can do. I would also be open to consulting on short term contracts. Rest assured, I probably won’t get too far away from CPG, it’s just too much fun…
I have had many ask if I am going to another job. Answer is NO. I had no “job” reasons for leaving London Drugs. I have been treated with respect and dignity my entire career. My reasons are mine. I have said for years that at 50, I would make a call to do something on my own. I have always said that at 60, I wanted no regrets. No coulda, woulda, shoulda and didn’t. 🙂
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you are looking to share ideas on CPG related topics. I am always willing to discuss and talk about any of the categories that I managed, and even others. Always love to learn new things. I am going to be a free lance consultant now, and I’m always looking to give some guidance or opinion on something that may be a cool opportunity in today’s retail or CPG world. I love what I do, and love to talk about it, and you just never know, I may be able to help you out, make a few bucks and make you a few bucks… You just never know.
